Adriana Mathis

Adriana Mathis (born August 12, 1994 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian cyclist and multiple national champion and world champion in single art cycling .

Career

Adriana Mathis has been active in artificial cycling since 1999. She starts for the cycling club ARBÖ RC 11er Meiningen.

At the indoor cycling world championships in 2012 she was third in single artificial cycling, in 2013 third in mixed two and in 2014 in the Czech Republic vice world champion in single artificial cycling.

In 2015, the 21-year-old won the title of world champion in single-art driving in Johor (Malaysia). Shortly before her planned title defense in 2016 , she tore a cruciate ligament.
At the Austrian championships in 2017, she was second behind Julia Walser in Höchst . At the indoor cycling world championships in Dornbirn in 2017 , the 23-year-old won the bronze medal in the artificial cycling single.

She lives near the Swiss border in Meiningen , is trained by her mother Sabine Mathis and looked after by the Austrian national trainer Günter Nicolussi. Their nicknames are Adi or Nani .
