Adriano Buzaid (born July 5, 1988 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian racing driver .

Career

After becoming a finalist in Tony Kanaan's Stock Car Junior selection, Buzaid moved to Europe in 2006 to join the British Formula Ford . With one win, he finished eleventh in this championship. He was also active in the winter series of the British Formula Renault both this year and 2007 and finished seventh in both seasons. In 2007 the Brazilian competed in the British Formula Renault. At the end of the season he finished 13th overall with two podium finishes. In 2008 Buzaid stayed in the British Formula Renault and contested his second season in this championship. The young racing driver achieved five wins and two further podium finishes. At the end of the season he was third in the drivers' championship behind Adam Christodoulou and Alexander Sims . He also made his debut in the national class of the British Formula 3 Championship .

In 2009 Buzaid received a cockpit in the British Formula 3 championship at the British racing team T-Sport , which used Volkswagen engines. On the second race weekend he achieved his first podium finish in Formula 3 in third place. After being on the podium in two other races, the Brazilian won his first race in this championship in Spa-Francorchamps . Buzaid dedicated this victory to his late friend Henry Surtees . At the end of the season he finished sixth in the overall classification. In 2010 Buzaid stayed in the British Formula 3 Championship and switched to Carlin . After a few races without a win, he decided the 23rd race of the season for himself. At the end of the season he finished fourth overall with two wins.
