The Adriatic Water Polo League ( Croatian : Jadranska vaterpolska liga ) is a regional water polo competition that was held for the first time in the 2008/2009 season. The nineteen participating teams come from Serbia , Croatia and Montenegro . In the past, teams from Slovenia and Italy also took part.
mode
The ten participants of the 1st league compete against each other twice in the main round in a league. Once in the home hall and once outside.
The six best placed teams in the main round then play for the title in LIGA 6. The other teams play in LIGA 7.
