history
In 1938 the house was built as a parish and parish house for the Aegidiikirchengemeinde Quedlinburg. After the Aegidii parish was dissolved, it became a church-sponsored youth center. In April 1986 the former parsonage was given the name "Stop" and as such became the central point of contact for Quedlinburg's youth protest movement within the peaceful revolution of the GDR.
The bus stop"
Today the house is the open children's and youth leisure facility ( stop ), which is under church sponsorship. The “stop” is open to children and young people aged 6 to 14 from Monday to Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm. The facility is managed by an evangelical child and youth deacon.
architecture
The two-story building from 1938 is covered by a hipped roof. A half-timbered floor was placed on top of the massive basement . Its design ties in with the long tradition of the Quedlinburg half-timbered building. So there is a wide position of the stand. The upper floor cantilevers over the ground floor.
The property enclosure including the gate is partly older and dates back to the 19th century.
