Aeneas Silvius (son of Silvius)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aeneas Silvius was a descendant of Aeneas and the third king of Alba Longa in Roman mythology .

He does not appear in Ovid's list of the kings of Alba Longa ; in Livy and Dionysius of Halicarnassus his predecessor is his father Silvius . He ruled for 31 years. If one uses the reigns given by Dionysius of Halicarnassus with a back calculation from the traditional year of the founding of Rome , this corresponds to the years 1112 to 1081 BC. His successor was Latinus Silvius .
