The Aeropuerto de El Tamarindo is an airfield in the La Unión department on the Gulf of Fonseca in El Salvador .

The airfield with ICAO MSET is located on the peninsula of El Jaguey some 190 kilometers east of the capital San Salvador . It was originally designed as a military airfield. The asphalt runway 15/33 is 1430 meters long. The airfield is managed by the Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma Commission and is approved for light aircraft and helicopters .
