Puerto La Unión Centroamericana
The port of Puerto La Unión Centroamericana is a new port in the Bay of La Union on the Gulf of Fonseca in El Salvador .
La Unión Centroamericana is located around one kilometer south of the Puerto de Cutuco port complex, which was built in 1915 . The port with a total area of one million square meters was planned by the Commision Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma . Construction started in 2009 and completion is scheduled for 2015. After commissioning, this new port will also be managed by CEPA.
