Affonso Beato

Affonso Henriques Ferreira Beato (born July 13, 1941 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is a South American cameraman .

Life and accomplishments

Affonso Beato completed a bachelor's degree in art . Since 1966 he has made over 50 films, including The Big Easy , Ghost World , The Informant , Live Flesh - With skin and hair , All about my mother , Shadow of Passion , Flight Girls , Dark Water , The Queen , Love in the Times of Cholera and The Smile of the Stars .

At the Goya Film Awards in 2000 he was nominated in the category Best Cinematography .

In 2017 he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.
