Agelaos (son of Temenos)
Agelaos ( ancient Greek Ἀγέλαος ) is a person from Greek mythology .
He is a son of the Heraclid Temenos, who ruled over Argos , and brother of Eurypylos , Callias and Hyrnetho . Temenos prefers his daughter Hyrnetho and her husband Deiphontes over his sons, whereupon they decide to have him murdered. But since the army speaks out against them, Deiphontes is chosen to succeed his father-in-law. In a variant of the myth at Ephoros that has been preserved in fragments , Agelaos does not take part in the attack by his brothers.
