Agent Fresco is an Icelandic rock and metal band from Reykjavík . The main singer and composer of the band is Arnór Dan Arnarson. Vignir Rafn Hilmarsson plays the electric bass , Hrafnkell Örn Guðjónsson the drums and Þórarinn Guðnason keyboard and guitar .
history
The band was formed in 2008 in Reykjavík, Iceland. A short time later, the band took part in the Músíktilraunir, an Icelandic version of the Battle of the Bands , a competition in which bands compete against each other, and won the awards "Best Guitar", "Best Bass Playing" and "Best Drumming". Their first EP was Lightbulb Universe . At the end of 2010 the first album A Long Time Listening was released . The second album, entitled Destrier , was released on August 7, 2015.
Style and reception
The band belongs to the genres of alternative rock and metal. Other existing genre elements can be pop music , progressive rock , jazz , alternative art and math rock . The singer is mostly in high voices and Laut.de compares this with Leprous . Screams and shouts are also available. The style is described as a mix of Mew and The Mars Volta . Metal.de describes the band as a prophet of contemporary rock music and praises the expression of the emotional states anger, fear, despair, but also hope, euphoria and zest for action and the fight between them.
