Alwan language
The Alwanische (also Aluanisch / Ag [h] Wanisch or "Caucasian Albanian," not to be confused with the Balkan language Albanian ) is considered the older stage of the Northeast Caucasian Udischen and was (among other languages) in the Kingdom of Albania (also Alwan, Aluan, even " Caucasian Albania ”), which dates from around 100 BC. Existed , spoken , until 700 AD in the north and west of what is now the Republic of Azerbaijan . It is known from a palimpsest and from a number of inscriptions in its own alphabet, which is said to go back to Mesrop Mashtots (see also Caucasian languages: Alwan alphabet ).
