Life
Hermann received her training from the singing master and former opera singer Jenny Meyer and appeared for the first time in 1893 at the Kroll Opera in Berlin . Her voice showed the unadulterated alto character and, with its equally dark coloring in all registers, had a velvety softness of sound. As on stage, it was also popular in the concert hall.
Her voice has been preserved on several records and Edison cylinders .
