Agnes Ruttner-Kolisko

Agnes Ruttner-Kolisko (born July 17, 1911 in Vienna , † November 22, 1991 near Mombasa ) was an Austrian zoologist .

She received her doctorate in 1936 as Dr. phil. at the University of Vienna and worked as a hygienist for the Vienna Waterworks. She was a specialist in rotifers (Rotifera). After completing her habilitation, she worked for a number of years as a department head at the Biological Station in Lunz am See . Agnes Ruttner-Kolisko was married to Anton Ruttner , son of the limnologist Franz Ruttner (1882–1961) and founder of the station in Lunz. She had five children with Anton Ruttner. She died on November 22, 1991 while swimming south of Mombasa, Kenya.
