The Agnesbrücke is a bridge in Nuremberg . It crosses the Pegnitz and connects the island of Schütt with the Lorenz city side .

history

Until the 19th century, the wooden bridge, built in 1462 and covered until 1670, between the Big Island of Schütt and the Lorenz city side not far from the Pegnitz influence in the city was called the wooden bridge near the Wildbad , the old hay bridge or the wooden hay bridge . Inexplicably, the name Jagersbrücke appears in 1811 , which was officially renamed Agnesbrücke in 1894 . In 1779 a water measuring stand was set up on the bridge to observe the Pegnitz level. After the Second World War , the Agnes Bridge was replaced by a stone structure.
