Agnese Allegrini (born July 3, 1982 in Rome ) is an Italian badminton player .

Athletic career

Up to and including the 2008 Olympics, Agnese Allegrini has been the only Italian competitor at the Olympic Games. At the 2008 tournament, however, she lost her opening round match against Larisa Griga from Ukraine with 15:21 and 11:21.

In 2001, 2002 and 2003 she won the Italian title in women's singles nationally, and in 2000, 2001 and 2003 also the title in women's doubles. At the Italian International she won singles in 2001 and 2003, in the last year she was also successful in doubles with Federica Panini . In 2005, 2006 and 2007 she won Giraldilla International . In 2006 and 2007 she won the title at Mauritius International in women's singles, and in 2007 also at Bahrain International . At the Badminton World Cup in 2007 , however, she was eliminated in mixed with Klaus Raffeiner in round one. In 2008 she was successful at Iran International and Uganda International , in 2010 at Botswana International , Nouméa International and Miami PanAm International .
