history

The company history of today's Agrifac Machinery BV began in 1939 and has a cooperative background, when the “Centraal Bureau” started selling crop protection sprayers for potato cultivation. In 1955, the company began trading in sugar beet harvesters in addition to sprayers. The first name change took place in 1962 and from then on the business was run under the CEBECO company. Eleven years later, in 1973, serial production of attached and trailed crop protection sprayers began at the company's headquarters in Steenwijk. In 1984 the production and sale of the first plant protection sprayer developed by CEBECO itself, named GN, began, which was a trailed crop protection sprayer. The first self-propelled crop protection sprayer followed just two years later, and from then on the company focused on its further development. In 1989 the name was changed again and CEBECO became Agrifac-CEBECO. In 1993 Agrifac-CEBECO took over the harvesting technology company AMAC and changed its name again one year later and was called Agrifac. In the following years, various product developments followed, as well as the takeover of various companies in the fields of harvest technology and crop protection technology.

In 2008, Peter Millenaar and Ton Verhoeven bought the company and founded Agrifac Machinery BV from it. From there, all of the company's brands were combined under the single Agrifac brand. In 2012 the French Exel Industries Group took over the company, which made Agrifac part of the group, while managing director and CEO Peter Millenaar remained in charge of the company.

In 2016 Agrifac Machinery BV achieved sales of around 65 million euros, making it one of the leading manufacturers of self-propelled crop protection sprayers in Europe.
