Aguim is a place and a former municipality in the central region of Portugal .
history
The village was probably created during the Reconquista , in the course of the new settlements in the region from the 10th century.
In 1238 Aguim became the seat of an independent district. In the course of the administrative reforms after the Liberal Revolution in 1822 , the district and the municipality of Aguim were dissolved in 1836 and joined to the municipality of Tamengos in the district of Anadia.
In 1991 the community was re-created as Nossa Senhora do Ó de Aguim . In 1993 the name was shortened to its current form.
As part of the regional reform in Portugal in 2013 , the municipalities of Aguim, Óis do Bairro and Tamengos were merged to form the new municipality of Tamengos, Aguim e Óis do Bairro .

Aguim was a community ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) of Anadia , in the district of Aveiro . The community had 1171 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
As part of the municipal reorganization on September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Aguim, Óis do Bairro and Tamengos were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Tamengos, Aguim e Óis do Bairro .
