Agus IV is one of several hydropower plants on the Agus River in Mindanao , Philippines . The Agus is dammed in the Lanao Reservoir ( Lanao Lake ) in Lanao del Sur . From there it flows through Lanao del Norte into the Bay of Iligan . The Lanao reservoir near Baloi was a natural lake before it was additionally dammed and used to generate hydropower .
Agus IV has a shut-off a dam from Erdschüttmaterial of 32 m and 1578 m length with 4 million cubic meters of bulk material. The storage volume of the reservoir is up to 24,602 million cubic meters and its area up to 355 square kilometers, making it the world as one of the large reservoirs.
Other hydropower plants on the Agus are u. a. Agus II (1979; 180 MW) and Agus VI "Maria Cristina" (1953/1977/1983; 200 MW).
