Agus Susanto
Agus Susanto (* around 1940 ; formerly known as Tjoa Tjong Boon ) is a former Indonesian badminton player . Susanto is married to Megah Idawati , the sister of Liem Swie King . The couple's older son, Hermawan Susanto , continued the family's badminton tradition.
Athletic career
Agus Susanto recorded the greatest success of his career by winning the runner-up title with the Indonesian men's team at the Thomas Cup in 1967 . In a memorable final, the Indonesians lost 3: 6 to Malaysia. Susanto lost his first double there with Muljadi against Tan Aik Huang and Teh Kew San in three sets. The following day, due to spectator unrest in his doubles against Tan Yee Khan and Ng Boon Bee with a 1: 1 set score, the entire final was canceled. The victory was ultimately awarded to the Malaysians.
In the individual disciplines he won silver in doubles with Muljadi and bronze in mixed with Retno Koestijah at the Asian Games in 1966 .
