Teh Kew San

Teh Kew San (* 1934 ) is a former Malaysian badminton player .

Career

Teh Kew San won the seventh edition of the world championship for men's teams , the Thomas Cup , in the 1966/67 season with the Malaysian team . Together with Tan Aik Huang they won their first double in three sets in the final against Indonesia against Muljadi and Agus Susanto . The second double against AP Unang and Darmawan Supatera was no longer played after tumult among the spectators and the Malaysians were awarded. In the singles he had previously lost to Muljadi with 15:18 and 4:15. However, the Cup moved to Malaysia with a final score of 6: 3.

In his homeland, Teh Kew San won the double discipline at the Malaysian Open in 1957, 1959, 1960 and 1961 . In 1959 he won the All England with Lim Say Hup , his greatest success in the individual disciplines. He was also successful in the USA, New Zealand and Canada. In 1962 he was Asian champion in singles, and at the Asian Games he won in 1966 in mixed with Rosalind Singha Ang . In 1963 he won the New Zealand Championships , which were held open.
