Lim Say Hup

Lim Say Hup (born 1935 - September 2005 in Manila ) was a badminton player from Singapore . He lost with the Malaysian team in the final of the world championship for men's teams , the Thomas Cup , in the 1957/58 season against Indonesia with 3: 6.

In the final he lost a double with Johnny Heah against Tan King Gwan and Njoo Kiem Bie in just three sets, while he was able to win the second double against Tan Joe Hok and Ferry Sonneville clearly in two sets.

In 1959 and 1960 he won the Canada Open in men's doubles with Teh Kew San , and in the first year also the US Open . The prestigious All England both won in 1959, while a year later it only reached second place.

In his home country, Hup won the Malaysian Open in 1957, 1959 and 1960 , once again in doubles with Teh Kew San .
