Agustín Moreno Verduzco (born January 5, 1939 in Ciudad Guzmán , Jalisco ) is a former Mexican football player who mainly played in midfield .

Life

Moreno began his professional career at Club Deportivo Guadalajara , with which he won a number of titles. In the meantime, he played one season (1961/62) at Club Deportivo Irapuato and, following his time at Chivas, from 1966 to 1971 at city rivals Club Deportivo Oro , which had been converted to Club Social y Deportivo Jalisco in 1970 .

While Moreno seldom got beyond the reserve role in the early 1960s, he was a regular player between 1963 and 1965. He was an active part of the team that won the Mexican championship in the seasons 1963/64 and 1964/65. He also played all three Mexican Supercup finals in 1963, 1964 and 1965.

At the end of March 1963 he completed three international matches for the Mexican national team as part of the 1963 CONCACAF Nations Cup . In the three preliminary round games against the Netherlands Antilles (1: 2), Jamaica (8: 0) and Costa Rica (0: 0), Moreno was used over the full distance of 90 minutes.
