Agustín Tabárez , full name Agustín Tabárez Costas , (born October 15, 1994 in Pando ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The 1.73 meter tall defensive player Tabarez comes from the youth team of the Uruguayan first division club Nacional Montevideo , for which he has been active at least since the 2009/10 season. In the Apertura 2013 he scored a goal for the team of the "Cuarta Division".
In the first team he has not yet been used in the Primera División . However, he was used once in the Torneo Preparación of the 2011/12 season with the professionals. In March 2017, the second division Canadian Soccer Club signed him . There he made his debut on May 6, 2017 in a 1-1 draw in the game against Tacuarembó FC in the Segunda División , when he was substituted on by coach Rodrigo Sánchez in the 46th minute for José Sardón . So far (as of July 13, 2017) he has played ten second division games (no goal).
National team
Tabárez took part with the Uruguayan U-17 selection at the U-17 South American Championship 2011 in Ecuador and at the U-17 World Cup 2011 in Mexico . The South American Championship finished the Celeste in second place behind the Brazilian selection. Tabarez started at least 1: 1 in the final game against Argentina. In the subsequent 3-2 win against Colombia, he came on as a substitute. At the World Cup, Uruguay won the runner-up world title. Tabarez was not used during the tournament.
