Ahiwara is a city in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh .
The city is part of the Durg district . Ahiwara has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 15 wards . It had 20,384 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census , of which 10,215 were men and 10,169 women . The literacy rate in 2011 was 80.4% and thus above the national average. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of around 93%. Muslims form a minority with a share of around 3%.
