Ahmed al-Tarabulsi ( Arabic أحمد الطرابلسي, DMG Aḥmad aṭ-Ṭarābulusī ; * March 22, 1947 ) is a former Kuwaiti national soccer goalkeeper .

Career

At least from the 1974/75 season to the 1982/83 season he played at Al Kuwait SC . With which he was able to win the Kuwaiti championship in the seasons 1976/77 and 1978/79 . He also succeeded in winning the Kuwait Emir Cup from the 1975/76 to 1977/78 season and then again in 1979/80 .

National team

His provable first game for the national team was in qualifying for the 1974 World Cup, a 2-1 defeat against the team from Syria . He was also used in the qualifying games for the 1978 and 1982 World Cups . In the latter round, the team also managed to qualify for the finals . Here he was used in all three games of the group stage, of which only the game against Czechoslovakia was not lost.

At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow , he was in the squad of the selection of Kuwait . There he was also in all three group matches and in the 2-1 defeat in the quarter-finals against the Soviet Union between the posts.
