Ahsewiesen (VO)

The Ahsewiesen nature reserve (VO) is located in the municipality of Welver in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends northeast of the core village Welver directly east of Hacheney. The state road L 795 runs northwest and the L 670 to the south . The Ahse flows through the area .
The nature reserve is designated as a contiguous protected area of the EU bird sanctuary " Lippeaue between Hamm and Lippstadt mit Ahsewiesen ".

A 179.06 hectare area has been designated as a nature reserve for Welver since 1993 under the code number SO-001.
