The Salzbrink nature reserve is located in the area of the city of Soest and the municipality of Welver in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The area extends west of the core town of Soest and southeast of the core town of Welver. The Amper Bach flows on the northeastern edge of the area .
