The Aikikai Germany - Association for Aikido in Germany e. V. is a non-profit registered association of Aikidoka with the aim of spreading Aikidō according to the principles of the Aikidō founder Ueshiba Morihei in Germany. Aikikai Germany was founded in 1967 by Katsuaki Asai .

Aikikai Germany is a member of the International Aikido Federation (IAF), the European Aikido Federation (EAF) and a professional association recognized by the Aikikai Honbu Dōjō in Tokyo / Japan. Technically, the members of the Aikikai Germany are based on Katsuaki Asai (8th Dan Aikikai ), envoy and delegate of the Aikikai Tokyo for Germany. Katsuaki Asai was a direct student of Ueshiba Morihei.

The Aikikai Germany currently consists of about 6000 members, who are organized in about 180 Dōjōs in all federal states.

President of Aikikai Germany is Roland Hofmann. Vice-president is Thomas Domroeß and national trainer of Aikikai Germany is Katsuaki Asai. (Status: 2019)
