Aina Cid

Aina Cid Centelles (born September 1, 1994 in Amposta ) is a Spanish rower .

In 2011 Aina Cid finished fourth in the double scull at the Junior World Championships , and in 2012 she finished fifth in the single . In 2013 and 2014 she rowed in two without a helmsman at the U23 World Championships , but missed the A-final each time. In 2016, she and Anna Boada qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in a pair without a helmsman . There the two reached the final and finished sixth. At the 2017 World Championships in Sarasota, the Spaniards finished fifth. A year later at the 2018 World Championships in Plovdiv, Canadians Caileigh Filmer and Hillary Janssens won ahead of New Zealanders Grace Prendergast and Kerri Gowler , with Aina Cid and Anna Boada winning bronze medals behind them.

In 2019, Virginia Díaz joined Aina Cid , and the two finished sixth at the World Cup kick-off in Plovdiv. At the 2019 European Championships in Lucerne, the Spanish women won the title in front of the boats from Romania and Italy.

The 1.70 m tall Aina Cid rows for the Club Nautic in Amposta.
