Airolaf ( Arabic إيرولاف) is a place in the Tadjoura region in northwestern Djibouti and in the center of the region. Airolaf is known for its cool climate, the coolest in Djibouti.
geography
The place is about 115 km northeast of the capital Djibouti at an altitude of about 1460 m . The area is located in the Goda massif , the third highest mountain massif in Djibouti and belongs to the catchment area of the Ourâno and Garab ( Assaleyi ) wadis . In the Airolaf area, a rocky plateau, there is a lot of vegetable cultivation. The place also belongs to the Forêt du Day region .

According to the Köppen-Geiger system , Airolaf is characterized by a steppe climate (BSh). The winters get pretty cold and frosts can occur at night.
