Aishath Himna Hassan (born January 7, 2002 ) is a sprinter from the Maldives who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Aishath Himna Hassan gained her first international experience in 2018 at the Junior Asian Championships in Gifu , where she was eliminated in the first round in the 200-meter run with 26.73 s, as well as over 400 meters with 59.76 s. She took part in the U20 World Championships in Tampere over 400 meters and was eliminated there with 59.76 s in the first round. At the end of August she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and was eliminated there with 26.73 s and 60.59 s in both competitions in the preliminary run. The following year she was eliminated from the Asian Youth Championships in Hong Kong with 26.86 s and 59.18 s in the preliminary round, but thanks to a wildcard over 400 meters she was allowed to take part in the World Championships in Doha in October , where she had 59.51 s eliminated in the first round .
