Ajith Premakumara Millagaha Gedara (born October 12, 1991 ) is a Sri Lankan sprinter .

Athletic career

Ajith Premakumara gained his first international experience at the 2015 Military World Games in Mungyeon , South Korea , where he finished fifth in the Sri Lankan 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 08.65 minutes. In 2016 he was sixth in the 400-meter run at the South Asian Games in Guwahati and won the silver medal in the relay in 3: 07.59 minutes. The following year he was eighth in the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar in 47.35 seconds and won the silver medal behind the team from India in 3: 04.80 minutes in the men's relay. In 2018 he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta with the Sri Lankan relay and finished fourth in 3: 02.74 minutes. The following year he reached the semi-finals at the Asian Championships in Doha , in which he was eliminated with 47.07 s.
