Akın Vardar (born April 2, 1978 in Aydın ) is a former Turkish football player .

Vardar started his career at his home club Aydınspor . In the 1999/2000 season he became a regular player and played there until the 2002/03 winter break. He played 140 games for the black and white .

Sivasspor signed him in the winter break of 2002/03 . Since joining Sivas, Akın Vardar has never been a goalkeeper. In the 2007/08 season he represented Michael Petkovic for 15 games during his injury break. In the 2009/10 season he alternated with Petkovic more often. In the 2010/11 season he fought with Sead Ramović and Alişan Şeker for the space between the posts and came up with five missions. In late January 2011 he left the club to Karşıyaka SK in the fourth Turkish league. After stints at two other lower-class clubs, he ended his career in 2013.
