The Academy of Fine Arts Warsaw (Polish: Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie ) is the oldest art school in Poland. Its seat is in the Czapski Palace on Krakowskie Przedmieście . The acting rector is Adam Myjak. The Warsaw School of Fine Arts was also incorporated into it.
In 1816 the Faculty of Fine Arts was established at the University of Warsaw . The Warsaw Art School was not established until 1844. After the January uprising in 1863, it was closed by the Russian authorities and only reopened in 1904.
