The Academy for Operations and Management ( ABU ) is a state educational institution. As part of a three-year extra-occupational course and on the basis of a state examination, she provides the degree of state-certified business economist (specializing in corporate management).

Conception of the ABU

The course at the Academy for Management and Management is based on a combination of professional activity and professional development. The ABU imparts practical knowledge. Special emphasis is placed on the cooperation with Saarland companies. Projects are carried out together with companies in the region that expand the practical relevance of the course. Through the use of managers from Saarland companies and specialist lecturers from the field of economics, a meaningful link between theory and practice is achieved. Small study groups are the basis for personal contact with the lecturers and between the students. They allow the discussion of individual questions and the discussion of practice-oriented case studies.

Educational institutions

With the ordinance of June 10, 1991, training and examinations at the Academy for Business and Corporate Management were described and published by the then Ministry of Education and Sport of the Saarland. As a carrier of the Academy of act Regional Saarbrücken , the working chamber of the Saarland , the Chamber of Saarland , the Chamber of Commerce of Saarland and the Ministry of Education of the Saarland .   • Graduation certificate from the vocational school
  • Completion of vocational training in a recognized training occupation suitable for the objectives of the academy (chamber certificate)

Proven knowledge in individual subjects can be recognized upon request. In exceptional cases, the first year of study can be fully recognized if the relevant knowledge is proven.

Tuition and examination fees

The tuition fees are currently (as of 04/2018) € 99.00 per month. Depending on the requirements, a grant of 40% can be granted according to the AFBG.

There are no fees for the final examination for "state-certified business economist specializing in corporate management", as the organization and implementation of the examination are the responsibility of the Ministry of Education.
