Akan Sataev
Akan Kargambajewitsch Satajew ( Russian Акан Каргамбаевич Сатаев ; born December 23, 1971 in Karaganda ) is a Kazakh director and film producer.
Life
Satajew studied at the Faculty of Film and Television of the Shurgenov Art Academy in Almaty and graduated in 1994. In 2003 he started his own film production company, Sataifilm . For his film Strayed , he won the 2010 “Prix de la Jeunesse Denis-de-Rougemont” at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival . In 2009 Strayed was nominated for the “Grand Prix des Amériques” at the World Film Festival .
In 2011 his film The Liquidator was released with Vinnie Jones in the lead role.
