Akinori Eto ( Japanese 江 渡 聡 徳 , Eto Akinori ; born October 12, 1955 in Sanbongi , Aomori Prefecture ) is a Japanese politician ( LDP , Ōshima faction ), member of the Shūgiin for the Tōhoku proportional representation and was Minister of Defense from September to December 2014 in the remodeled second Abe cabinet .

Eto, a graduate of the law faculty of Nihon Daigaku (1979) and the graduate department there (1981), was a lecturer at the private Kōsei Gakuin Hachinohe Tanki Daigaku (today only Hachinohe Tanki Daigaku , " Hachinohe High School "), he was also an employee and from 1988 member of the board of a supporting foundation for social institutions (shakai fukushi hōjin) , the Shiseikai ( 至誠 会 ). In the 2017 election , the prefecture lost one constituency and Eto is now to share the LDP candidacy in the new constituency of Aomori 1 according to the “Costa Rica method” with Jun Tsushima ; In 2017, Eto ran only in the Tōhoku proportional representation block, where he was placed in first place on the list in front of the double candidates and was certainly re-elected.

From 2004 to 2005 Eto was parliamentary secretary in the Cabinet Office for the Koizumi cabinet , and from 2007 to 2008 (Abe / Fukuda cabinets) Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Defense.
