The reshaped second Abe cabinet ( Japanese 第 2 次 安 倍 改造 内閣 , dainiji Abe kaizō naikaku ) ruled Japan under the leadership of Prime Minister Shinzō Abe from a cabinet reshuffle on September 3, 2014, in which all members of the except for the prime minister and six ministers took over The previous cabinet was replaced and some positions were redesigned until December 24, 2014. At the same time as the cabinet reshuffle, the party executive of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) was newly appointed.

After a historically long period without a change of minister (617 days) and stable - in comparison with the previous cabinets since 2006 - with relatively high approval ratings, Abe carried out a comprehensive restructuring of the cabinet and party leadership in September 2014. Eight ministers belonged to a cabinet for the first time, and initially a total of five women, as many as in the first Koizumi cabinet in 2001. All ministers were members of the national parliament, initially two members of the Council House ( Sangiin ), all others in the House of Representatives ( Shūgiin ).

In November 2014, the Abe cabinet dissolved the House of Representatives, after the House of Representatives election on December 14, 2014 , the cabinet resigned before the election of a new prime minister on December 24, 2014 and was replaced on the same day by the third Abe cabinet , with the exception of of the Defense Minister is identical in terms of personnel to the outgoing cabinet.
