The reorganized second cabinet Mori ( Japanese 第 2 次 森 改造 内閣 , dainiji Mori kaizō naikaku ) ruled Japan under the leadership of Prime Minister Yoshirō Mori from December 5, 2000 until his resignation on April 26, 2001. Mori had announced on April 6 that to resign as prime minister and LDP chairman due to very low approval ratings on the part of the population. Jun'ichirō Koizumi was elected as his successor as LDP leader on April 24 , two days later the Mori cabinet resigned and was replaced by the first cabinet Koizumi .
