Cabinet Yoshida III
The 3rd Yoshida Cabinet ruled Japan from February 16, 1949 until the cabinet reshuffle on June 28, 1950. It was formed by Yoshida Shigeru after the general election on January 23, 1949 , after he was re-elected as Prime Minister on February 11 . In addition to representatives of the previous coalition factions, the Democratic-Liberal Party and the Ryokufūkai , the cabinet also included two ministers from the Democratic Party who, in the dispute over cooperation with the government, form a "coalition faction" ( 連 立 派renritsu-ha ) and an "opposition faction" ( 野 党派yatō-ha ) had split. In February 1950, the MPs joined the coalition faction of the Democratic-Liberal Party, which was henceforth called the Liberal Party.
