Accredited laboratories in medicine e. V. ( ALM e.V. for short ) is the professional association of accredited medical laboratories in Germany based in Berlin . He is a member of the National Association of Specialists in Germany .

The association currently represents over 200 medical laboratories with 900  specialists , around 500  scientists and around 25,000 qualified employees. The purpose of the association is to promote and ensure high quality medical laboratory patient care in Germany.

The members of the association ensure comprehensive patient care, even in structurally weak areas. The member laboratories are accredited according to the highest quality standard for medical laboratories (DIN ISO EN 15189) and fully meet the guidelines of the German Medical Association for quality assurance of medical laboratory examinations (RiliBÄK). The education and training of medical and technical staff is an essential aspect of their daily work in order to be able to ensure reliable long-term care for millions of patients. The association strives for collegial cooperation with the joint self-administration , the medical specialist societies , professional associations and associations in order to jointly shape the future of laboratories in medical diagnostics in Germany.

First chairman of the ALM e. V. has been Michael Müller, Managing Director of Labor 28 in Berlin since May 2016 .
