The program Current Report is the regional news program in the third television program of the Saarland Broadcasting Corporation ( SR Fernsehen ) for the Saarland .
With an average of up to 100,000 viewers, it is the most-watched television program on SR television and one of the most successful regional programs within ARD . The SR describes the program as the daily topics of the region .
history
The first regular regional information broadcast for Saarland began on February 1, 1961 (7.30 p.m. to 7.50 p.m.). The name “current report” can be traced back to a special broadcast for the first time in 1964. At the beginning of 1966, it became a five-minute program every working day, and a year later it was merged with the previous main news program, “Current news from over and over”, and expanded to 15 minutes. In 1993/94 he moved from the first to the third program .
