Al Jazeera Turk

Al Jazeera Türk is an emerging Turkish news channel and subsidiary of Al Jazeera . It started on January 22, 2014 as a pure online publication in Turkish, accompanied by mobile apps for use on smartphones or tablet computers and a digital magazine. According to media reports, the next start of a television channel is planned within a year. The station is based in Istanbul . In addition to Turkey , the Balkans and Central Asia are also part of its planned distribution area .

The editor-in-chief is the former news chief of CNN Türk , Gürkan Zengin.
