al Qadsia Kuwait SC ( Arabic القادسية, DMG al-Qādisīya ) is a sports club from Kuwait City in Kuwait .
The club is best known for its football section . She plays in the highest league in the country, the Kuwaiti Premier League . The footballers play their home games in the Mohammed al-Hamad Stadium. Founded in 1960, the club is one of the most successful in the country with 13 championships won. Only al-Arabi won more top division titles. After the golden decade of the 1970s with five championship titles and four cup wins, the club went through a long dry spell. In 2006 the footballers reached the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League . There, al Qadsia Kuwait SC was first defeated by al-Karama from Syria . If the 2007/08 championship was missed by just one point, the thirteenth title could be celebrated a year later. In 2014 the club won the title in the AFC Cup .
