al-Karama ( Arabic الكرامة al- Karama , also al Karama or al Karameh ) is a Syrian football club from the city of Homs . The club name can be translated in different ways: the dignity, the miracle, the reputation, the honor, the nobility, the nobility, the generosity or the generosity. al-Karama has so far celebrated seven championships (most recently in 2009) and five cup wins (most recently in 2009). The home games are played in the city stadium, which has a capacity of almost 40,000 seats. The followers of al-Karama are considered particularly fanatical. The stadium is often well filled and the team cheered on emotionally.

The club was founded in 1928 as Khalid Bin Walid Sports Club . Since 1971, the club has called itself by its current name. In the 2005/06 season al-Karama achieved a great success in the AFC Champions League with second place. The team just had to admit defeat to the big favorites from Cheonbuk Hyundaie Motors from South Korea . While Cheonbuk won 2-0 at home, al-Karama won 2-1 in Homs. The next goal was extremely lucky in the 89th minute. Before that, al-Karama was able to eliminate experienced teams from Iran and Saudi Arabia (including al-Ittihad ) in the preliminary round as well as in the eighth, quarter and semi-finals . In 2009 the club won the cup and championship double for the third time in a row .
