The Al Salam Stadium ( Arabic ستاد السلام, also known as the Military Production Stadium ) is a football stadium with an athletics facility located in the Egyptian capital, Cairo . It offers 22,000 seats and is mainly used for soccer games.
The facility is located in the middle of a larger, park-like sports complex in the new Madinat Al Salam district in the northwest of the metropolis, around 24 kilometers from the center. It was built in 2009 as a venue for several U-20 soccer World Cup matches . Games of the Africa Cup 2019 are to take place in the stadium.
