Danique Stein (born July 16, 1990 in Basel ) is a former Swiss football player .

Career

Stein began her career in 2000 at FC Birsfelden , moved to FC Pratteln in 2002 and finally to FC Concordia Basel in 2004 , with whom she made it to the National League A in 2008. In the 2009/2010 season, the defender played at SC Freiburg in the first women's division and made her debut there on September 27, 2009 at the Bundesliga match at Turbine Potsdam. On July 1, 2010, Stein moved to SC 07 Bad Neuenahr. During the winter break of 2010/2011 she returned to FC Basel, where she ended her career in summer 2017.

In the national team

In the Swiss national team , Stein made his debut on August 12, 2009 in a friendly against the Swedish U23s (final score 3-0).
