Al Tango is a Polish band that plays Argentine tango (both concert and dance versions), tango songs, tango waltzes , salon and tango milonga .

history

The band al Tango was founded in 2004. The band's manager is Paweł Wawrzyk and he is also responsible for the concert programs. He has long been interested in tango dance and music . The members of the band al Tango are students and graduates of the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw .

Music genre

Al Tango is inspired by the rich tango tradition. The majority of the pieces played by the band come from the Golden Tango era, but Al Tango also has works that were contemporary or written on the band's order.

The style of Al Tango mixes the nostalgia seen in the tangos of the orchestras of Osvaldo Pugliese and Aníbal Troilo , the romance of Jerzy Petersburski, Astor Piazzolla's disobedience and restlessness, and adds some of the modern irony.
