Alagwa (Alagwaisa, also known as Alaagwa'isa , Alagwase , Alawa , Asi , Chasi , Hhagiree , Kialagwa , Kichase , Uassi , Waasi and Wasi ) is a südkuschitische language that of 53,000 people in the Kondoa district in Tanzania is spoken .

Most of the villages that are inhabited by speakers of the Alagwa have an Islamic upbringing, which is why some children speak Arabic and Swahili more fluently than Alagwa.
