Alain Klotz (* 1947 ) is a French astronomer and asteroid discoverer.
Between 1997 and 1999 he discovered a total of seven asteroids at the observatories in Guitalens and Castres .
In addition, together with Raoul Behrend , Laurent Bernasconi and Russell I. Durkee, by observing the light curve , he discovered that the asteroids (854) Frostia , (1089) Tama , (1313) Berna and (4492) Debussy have satellites.
The asteroid (10222) Klotz was named after him on May 23, 2000.
